What is a 'Bachelor Of Science in Nursing'?

BSc Nursing is an undergraduate course that trains an individual in medical nursing. This is a four-year degree course that is broken down into eight semesters.

Undergraduate BSc Nursing in India is offered under two options- BSc. Nursing (Basic) and BSc. Nursing (Post Basic)

The candidates wishing to join BSc. Nursing (Basic) should have passed 10+2 in biology science. The candidates should have not less than 40% marks in biology, chemistry, and physics.

The ones aiming to join BSc Nursing (Post Basic) have to get a certificate in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) and register themselves as RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) from the State Nurses Registration Council.

Some of the universities accept other equivalent exam qualifications and some may have separate 'BSc Nursing entrance exams' for the selection process of the course.
