What is a 'Bachelor of Physiotherapy'?

Bachelor of physiotherapy or BPT is a four-and-a-half-year undergraduate course. This course
aims to train individuals for treating diseases with the help of physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy is a rehabilitative medicine. In BSc. Physiotherapy, the students are taught to
master the methods to cure and manage diseases as well as injuries with the help of physical
movements, physical massages, physical therapy, and exercises.
With rehabilitation, the students also learn about the diagnosis, examination, and assessment of
the disease, injuries, and deformities.

Physiotherapy trains the students to rely on the physical movements and massages for treating
ailments unlike the traditional medical science that uses drugs and pharmaceuticals for treating
diseases.

Eligibility for Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The eligibility criteria for BPT is 10+2 with core subjects as Biology, chemistry and physics from
a recognized board.
The students must have scored not less than 50% marks in each subject for the board exams.
Most of the Universities and colleges conduct entrance examinations for selecting the
candidates.

Scope of Bachelor Of Physiotherapy
Job opportunities are many when it comes to physiotherapy as it's one of the most established
medical fields.

always end up with a Physiotherapist.

health centers, NGOs,gym etc appoint Physiotherapists and pay them very well too.

Nowadays, in the field of sports and fitness too Physiotherapists are recruited. Most of the well
known gyms, fitness centers, fitness clinics and sport training academies have their own
Physiotherapist.
