BSc. Operation Theater Technology is a 3+1-year undergraduate degree course that trains the
candidates for management of the operation theaters and patients within it.
During the course of this degree program, the students are taught to effectively and efficiently
handle different surgical equipment and medical machinery.
They are trained professionally to do standard practices like sterilization, disinfection, surgical
equipment arrangements, etc.
The students are educated about various medical conditions, emergency situations, ICU
handling, and the surgeries and medical interventions related to it.

The main duty of an operation theater technologist is to assist the surgeons and doctors during
various operations and medical emergencies.
Duties like making and maintaining the medical records of the patient, educating patients
